Aztec Society Role Play activity
In pairs you will write two scripts for two Role Plays that you will present to the class.
You will each research and play the role of a chosen person from Aztec society. The other person in your pair will interview you.
You will then swap. The interviewee will then play the role of a different person from Aztec society. The other person in your pair will then interview you.
Each person will chose to role play ONE of the following:
- Montezuma the God/King
- Priest / Priestess
- Noble
- Merchant
- Warrior
- Artisan (craftsperson)
- Woman
- Boy
- Girl
- Farmer
- Human sacrifice (back from the dead)
- Slave
Begin the Role Play activity by:
1. determining who you will work with
2. each chosing a member of Aztec society to research and write your scripts for the role play
3. create a Google Doc and share with your partner

5. In your Google Doc record information and references from your research

- what is your name?
- where are you from?
- to which part of society do you belong?
- what is your role/job?
- what do you do most days?
- are you well off?
- what do you mostly eat?
- do you/did you go to school?
- what did you learn at school?
- what do you do/what is your role at religious festivals?
- is your life interesting/fulfilling?
- what do you do for leisure?
- do you think your life is fair? why/why not?
- what is the best part about living in the Aztec society?
- what is the worst part about living in the Aztec society?
